Mixing And Matching Color Schemes
When it comes to redecorating, one of the biggest problems I have is choosing color schemes for the rooms. I love color; I’m just not very good at putting the rights ones together to create something spectacular. I tend to stick with one color when I do a room, and then I just hope the stuff I get to include with go with it. If I had a better idea of what colors look good together, I would have a much easier time trying to figure out what I want and how I want to do it.
If you have the same problem as I do, there are ways you can find color schemes that will work well in your home. I don’t make it a huge priority because I don’t own my own home yet. When the day comes that I do have my own home, I am going to have to figure out some color schemes that I can live with for a while, and perhaps ones that have enough versatility that I can redecorate without a major renovation each time I want something new. This means my choices are very limited, and I don’t want to put a lot of work into a place that I do not own. I do just enough to keep it nice, but I don’t make it amazing.
You can find great color schemes by looking at materials in the store. You may find great ideas just by looking at throw pillows. They may have colors included together that you love to look at, and this can give you a whole new look for a room in your home. You can also find color schemes by looking at paint samples in the store. You may want to take all of the colors that catch your eye. Take them home and mix and match until you come up with something that you think will look great.
You can find color schemes in more obvious places as well. You can look through magazines for ideas, or you can watch home improvement shows to see what they have come up with. You can even look through the homes of friends and family to see what color schemes they may be using. You may not want to copy what they have, but you could use the color scheme to come up with something of your own that will look great in your home while remaining within your taste and style.
